Did I forget to make a TBR for July? Yes… Life has been all over the place for me recently. But! I am here to deliver today. I’m still finishing off two of the books from June, reviews for those should be up in the next week. Here are the books I’ll be starting very soon.

Body Count by Codie Crawley and Summer Camp for Slasher Victims by Matthew Mercer are two of the seven books on my Summerween Slashers reading list for 2026. I wanted to read horror novels set during the summer before the air gets colder and my reading shifts into a more traditional spooky season Halloween reading vibe.

The Spiral of Life by Francesca McMahon is a Queer young adult fantasy novel inspired by Celtic Mythology. I’ve been following Francesca on Instagram for a while now and was able to meet them at MCM London Comic Con this past May and pick up book one in the Eilean in the Otherworld series.

What are you planning to read this month? I’d love to hear about them in the comments!
