Books I’m giving a second chance

I try and avoid DNFs. I don’t like leaving bo0ks unfinished or giving up on them because it feels a little bit like failure. I’ve found I’m quite intuitive when it comes to choosing books to read and often hit… Continue reading

Review | Prince of Thorns by Mark Lawrence

I am very out of practise for writing reviews (it’s been like three months lol). This is less of a review and more of a thought dump. It’s not spoilery but unless you’ve read it you probably won’t understand what… Continue reading

Photo dump from Christmas at the Castle Unfortunately I didn't wake up to any snow today but here's a pic I took at Warwick Castle last weekend, with some chunky frost. Like many other readers, one of my bookish goals for 2026 is to bring down my physical TBR. I figured it'd be best to start reading the fantasy trilogies I already own before I buy anything new. ๐Ÿ˜… I'm still figuring out all my reading goals for 2026 but I know for certain I'll be reading all of George R.R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire series! Got the original Five Nights at Freddy's trilogy for christmas ๐ŸŽ๐ŸŽ„ Merry Christmas! My grandad gifted me his copy of The Lord of the Rings from 1970! Its the Fifth Impression of the revised second edition. Goes for a few bob on ebay, apparently. Though I will be keeping them forever! ๐ŸŽถ and it's Michael Caine in a Christmas film ๐ŸŽถ Been tempted by The Stormlight Archive since it started coming out. I'm not really interested in reading Sanderson's entire backlog just to started The Way of Kings - the series is already so long on its own!
