Hello bookworms, happy WWW Wednesday! This book tag is hosted by Taking On a World of Words, its a set of three questions asked of book bloggers weekly to see how their reading is getting on.

What are you currently reading?

I’m currently Clown in a Cornfield by Adam Cesare. I bought this last year and read the first few chapters before getting distracted by something else. One of my friends recently finished reading it in anticipation for the Clown in a Cornfield movie and she loved it. I started reading it earlier today and its been great so far. It reads exactly like a low-budget slasher movie in the best way possible. It’s a little gory (so far) with a sprinkling of mystery. I’m sure I’ll finish it by tomorrow, if not Friday. We will be seeing the movie next Friday, potentially in our own private screening! Maybe I’ll provide some details on how if we do. 🤔 Clown in a Cornfield is out in UK cinemas June 6th.

What have you finished reading?

Conclave by Robert Harris. Review coming later this week so I won’t spoil all of my feelings on it. It was such a good book and watching the movie absolutely didn’t impact my enjoyment of the book at all!

What will you read next?

As I mentioned last week I’ll be reading The Devils by Joe Abercrombie as my next personal read. I’ll also be reading The Familiar by Leigh Bardugo as its been picked as my local book club’s June book. I travel for work and often end up missing the book club. This book wasn’t originally on my TBR but I didn’t want to miss the opportunity to discuss the monthly book with everyone.

Happy reading 📚
