I know we’re nearly halfway through the month and this TBR is incredibly late but I figured it’s better to post one, rather than skip a month. This is only a few books, February is a short month after all. I haven’t done much reading for fun these past two weeks. Last month I started my Masters degree (while working full time) so I’ve been pretty swamped with that.

The Chosen Queen by Sam Davey

I’ve just been accepted for this book on NetGalley. It’s been described as a “powerful, feminist retelling of Camelot” following Igraine, destined Mother of King Author. I’ve loved Arthurian retellings since the TV show Merlin started airing on the BBC in 2008 – its one of my favourite comfort shows. The Chosen Queen publishes June 3th 2025.

Orbital by Samantha Harvey

Orbital is the March pick for my local book club! Unfortunately I won’t be able to make the meeting as I’m currently working up in Scotland (I live near London) but I still try and read the monthly picks when I can. This won the Booker Prize Award last year and follow 6 people’s lives over 24 hours in a spacecraft. I also managed to get this as an eBook from my local library!

A Clash of Kings by George R.R. Martin

This is the second instalment in the A Song of Ice and Fire book series. I read A Game of Thrones way back in April last year so I’m well overdue to begin reading this. Its over 800 pages so I only plan on starting it this months, then finishing it in March.

Happy reading šŸ“š

Looking forward to your thoughts on THE CHOSEN QUEEN. I held off on requesting that one because I’m very behind on reading my own collection of Arthurian-inspired books, but this one looks good, too!
