Read 36 Books
Last year I read 21 books, even though I had two whole months where I read nothing at all! In 2024 I plan on increasing that number a little bit with an ambitious 3 books per month. I’ve finished one book already and its only 1 week into the new year. (Oh, you can add me as a friend on Goodreads btw: link here!)

Read 12 Non-fiction Books
As mentioned in previous blog entries, I’m reading at least 1 non-fiction book a month this year. I have quite a few of these books already on my shelf at home so this goal will also help with clearing my physical TBR.
Read 10 Classics
I’ve barely read any classics in my life, mostly because I avoided reading in school wherever possible (yet, here I am 8 years later as an avid reader). I’ve found that outside of the classroom I’ve enjoyed reading so much more as an adult, including a very limited selection of classic literature. I’ve never read Little Women by Louisa May Alcott, despite loving 2 of the movie adaptations: the 1994 & 2019 versions. And there are several more I’d like to read in 2024. I’ve already started Alexandre Dumas’s The Three Musketeers and am loving it so far.
Reach 400 Blog Subscribers + 1000 Annual Views
I feel very lucky to have reached 200+ followers in 2023 considering I was barely active on here. This year I plan to post much more regularly and (hopefully) finish those series discussion posts which have been sitting in my drafts for months. My blog originally started with a TV Vs Book analysis between the first two books of Bernard Cornwell’s Saxon series and series 1 of (at the time) BBC’s The Last Kingdom tv show. I miss writing those kinds of posts, I’m actually quite passionate to adaptions of media and do not believe that the book is always better.
